I bought this jacket in Nov., 2024, am currently wearing it and keep searching not only the King Ranch website but the entire internet for another full grain cowhide jacket of equal measure. I don't think it exists. I use is as defense for when my one year old dog puts his not dull pawnails on my shoulder and other upper body areas. It protects my shirts.
The jacket fit me perfectly, 5-10, 205 lbs, size Large and is a masterpiece in design, quality materials and workmanship. The leather is tough, yet smooth, flexible and elegent. The color is a perfect Cognac, it has such detailed features that I'm still discovering them, it has western style but is certainly not rhinestone cowboy arrogant. It has a distinguised look. The YKK double zipper PLUS snaps is the perfect combination for flexibility, it is fully lined in what feels like silk, stitch and finish are impeccible and it's made from a holy cow in India. I wear wool shirtjackets underneath indoors and when the New Hapshire weather warms a bit, I'll wear it late in to the spring. I don't care what stylistas say about the seasons, to me it's a 3 season jacket because of comfort, practicality and in my opinion, it's beautiful! The craftsmanship and again, the design are amazing and finding such a jacket in cowhide is rare. There was one vendor in Denmark who sold nice jackets but they tend to wear black there and I don't drink it but I love to wear my cognac!
King Ranch's shipping and customer service are first rate. The only negative I encountered was when the store had it's 20% sale and I had just purchased the jacket at full price a few days earlier. Unlike some vendors, King Ranch would not credit me the 20% even though there are State laws that mandate refund of the original v. sale price difference. I did not pursue it although I wish I had known the sale was imminent.
It's a great business with very high quality goods and I look forward to my next Masterpiece!
